-------------------------------------------
Hi, I'm Stacy.
I am a licensed professional counselor, providing virtual therapy services for adults throughout Texas. I specialize in working with neurodivergence, trauma, depression and anxiety, borderline personality disorder, and issues of gender identity or sexual orientation.
My goal is to provide a safe and affirming space, no matter where you are in your journey to understanding yourself and your identity. I believe that working toward wellness is a subversive act for marginalized communities in our society. As Audre Lorde said, "Caring for myself is not self-indulgence. It is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare."
I honor all identities and backgrounds, and I want to help you navigate any challenges inside or out.
Reach out today and let's get started. I look forward to meeting with you!

Neurodivergence
I specialize in working with neurodivergent adults – Autism and ADHD, formally diagnosed or not. You might be struggling with a recent diagnosis, or looking to explore if you might be. Your neurodivergence might be at the center of your struggles, or it might be just one contributing factor.
I also specialize in working with trauma, and the intersection between neurodivergence and trauma. Neurodivergent people are more likely to experience traumas, and to have lasting trauma symptoms. But standard trauma therapies are not always a good fit for neurodivergent people.
Having a therapist who really understands neurodivergence, personally and professionally, can be a game-changer in getting the care that you need. Together, we can figure out what works for you and your unique brain.
Trauma
I specialize in working with trauma, including PTSD and CPTSD, childhood trauma, medical trauma, and relational trauma. Sometimes people aren’t sure if their experiences ‘count’ as trauma, and that’s ok. We can address any kind of distressing or overwhelming experiences in the same way.
The primary tool I use for trauma treatment is EMDR to process memories of distressing experiences and calm your nervous system. We’ll work together to help you build up a sense of safety in your body.
LGBTQIA+
I am queer and trans-affirming, and I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I work with many clients who are exploring their gender or sexuality, and I am also able to provide gender affirming surgery letters.

A note on the current political climate:

Things are feeling particularly dangerous right now for marginalized communities in Texas and the US. Threats to the LGBTQ+ community and neurodivergent community are increasing, and are highly concerning to me as both a member of these communities and as a practitioner serving them.

For all my clients, current and prospective, I want you to know that I will do everything in my power to keep your information secure and private. I do not intend to comply with any unethical laws or demands that would put your safety at risk.

If you have concerns about this issue, please let me know and we can discuss all possible safety measures.
